Why do so many gay men think strait guy/ frat boys are hot? I'm gay and even though I despise stupid frat boy types I get turned on by them. Why is this? I feel stupid! |
I don't think there is a simple answer. I think it's probably different for everybody. Personally, I am turned on by straight jock types, because that's the type of guy I was fascinated with when I was in my mid-teens and I guess it carried over into my adult life. Sometimes I think I yearned to be accepted by that group so much when I was a guy that it manifested itself in a sexual desire for that group when I matured sexually. I know that sounds like psycho-babble, but I do believe that the reason we are attracted to certain types of people are mainly psychological.
For example, when you were younger, did you (or do you) yearn to be accepted by the popular macho frat boy group while at the same time despising them because they're so crude, so ignorant, so mean? I did. And if you're having sex (like I did) with a member of that group, you feel a sort of control over that person and that's another psychological thrill: "This guy could beat me to a pulp, but he's letting me do these things to him, touch him in places no other guy has ever touched," and it is an empowering feeling. |
Why do a lot of gay teens say that frat boys are homophobes? It's different for me. Most jocks around me are actually gay-friendly. In fact, they are more tolerant than nerdy-*** guys. Jocks feel very comfortable around me. Yesterday I was at a community college practicing wrestling and I told someone that I'm gay. He just said, "you look pretty straight and have a deep voice." He didn't run away or anything. Why do I see tolerance from these guys, but other American teens would say they are complete homophobes? I'm from SoCal. |
| Its a stereotype of jocks or 'frat boys', which I think might have a little basis to it. You also have to consider where you are from SoCal... Go to any Midwestern or Southern state and I'm sure that it wont be as gay friendly. Like others said you are a jock too so they don't see you as stereotypical gay. |
Can straight boys tell when gay boys are checking them out? Seriously. I look kinda butch, I have a goatee and all, and walk like a straight boy but I check them out the way a frat boy checks out a sorority girl (yep I'm dirty). So I can't tell if they 'know' what I'm doing, think I want to 'fight' or leave them 'perplexed'.
If you are a straight guy and read this far, then how does it make you feel to be a 'sex' object? I really don't mean to do it, but I REALLY like the boys. |
hahahaha
probs bro!
dont make it so obvious. |
What is a "frat boy" ? Is it good to make friends with "frat boys" ?What are the advantages and disadvantages? Gay men and straight women. Is it good to start a relationship with a frat boy? |
Have you ever seen American Pie? A Frat Boy would be Stiffler. Disadvantages - Blacking out, getting left behind, missing what ever you were suppose to do tomorrow.
Advantages - Stories you wont be able to tell your guyren! |
Do frat boys compete to bag married chicks? I'm an adult student who has returned to school to complete my degree. I'm happily married, wear my rings, dress modestly, talk about the hubs and guys and am VERY sure I don't give off any signals. I'm there to finish school, that's it!
Yet, often 20 year old boys--yes, they are indeed "boys"--give me somewhat obvious unsolicited attention. They are VERY attractive, so they would have no trouble getting a date. There are a LOT of gorgeous girls on campus their own age and I'd venture to say some of them would be rather free with sexual favors. So why all the attention my way?
I'm not talking about a cordial smile or a question about an upcoming exam. They ask for my number and want to have coffee. One guy ran after me not just out of a classroom, but out of a BUILDING to tell me he's willing to help me with my homework, and I made no indication that I was having trouble!
So the only thing I can think is that the boys have a thing for married women?
I told my hubby about all this, and he is entertained by the whole thing! I am not posting this question to brag about my own appearance, btw. This question is for real. I really want to know what this is about.

Young Guys are ALWAYS looking for the easiest lay!
Someone where on the internet they heard that older women are more horny and at their sexual peak later in their life. To a young guy looking to get laid, its supposed be easy sex and an ego stroke becuase they are able to satisfy a woman with alot more experience.
@ INTERNET HATE MACHINE Oh man that reminds me of college! Though there was this one game called Apollo 13. Its where you let the fat chick (over 250 lbs) sit on your face during a 69 session and try to see how long you can complete your mission before running out of air. |
Why do gay men *usually* have better fashion sense than lesbians? I ask this as a gay man- why do so few lesbians have good fashion sense .My good friend Denise has the fashion sensibilities of a 300 pound truck driver...I love her to death, but she has zero fashion sense. Her apartment might as well have been decorated by frat boys....Does it seem like gay men have a better eye for decorating and fashion than lesbians? |
| I think that over all gay men are more stimulated visually...as well as being stimulated sexually by sight...Straight men probably are more vision orientated as well....case in point, the number of men who watch porn. |
Did you take the July MBE? What was your favorite question? My favorite was the guy who ran across the street to get a gun from his neighbor to shoot a man who was having sex with his daughter and (coincidentally) had raped the neighbor's wife 4 years earlier (small world)
The gay frat boys snapping towels at each other in the bathroom comes in a close second |
| Thank God, I remember absolutely nothing about anything on the MBE that I took 7 years ago. You will forget, too. |
